2 Biker Gang Members Busted In Kern Valley

While there were witness reports of a car chase Friday evening, no Bakersfield TV stations reported any of the sort. The Kern County Sheriff’s Department did say they busted two men for carrying deadly weapons in the Kern Valley area early July 4.

According to the sheriff’s department deputies assigned to directed patrol in the Kern Valley area conducted an enforcement stop on three motorcycles. Officials said an investigation lead to the arrest of two individuals, later identified as Danti Kirby, 34, from Pella, Iowa, and Matthew Korwel, 28, of St. Louis, Missouri.

Officials said Kirby and Korwel were both charged with Penal Code violations P.C. 12020(a) Possession of a deadly weapon and a violation of P.C. 186.22(a) Member of a street gang.
