An off-duty Bakersfield Police Department Officer was arrested for a DUI after police responded to a crash on Tuesday involving the officer’s car and that of a woman in southwest Bakersfield.

Vigil Held For Dead 2-Year-Old Bakersfield Boy
A vigil was held in East Bakersfield on Monday night for 2-year-old Guillermo Alvarez who sheriff’s officials believe was killed by Joshua Preston, the now ex-boyfriend of the boy’s mother.
