If you’re a roller coaster wimp, you might classify the kiddie coaster at your local carnival as one of the strangest roller coasters on the planet. But let’s be real here, there are some wacky roller coasters out there. Here’s the five strangest I could find.
1. Ring Racer: The amusement park Nürburgring has been in operation in Germany since 1927 and is the home of this mysterious roller coaster that’s under construction. Hailed as the fastest in the world it’s air launch system is supposed to reach 0 to 134.8 mph in a little over 2 seconds. Take a ride.
2. Diadarasaurus: This roller coaster at Expoland in Japan was once a set of twins. A reconstructive effort fused the tracks to make the coaster the second longest in the world at more than a 6-minute ride. Unfortunately the park closed in 2007.
3. Megafobia: Some people say this coaster in Wales, England is one of the best rides in the world. It looks creepy and is made of wood.
4. Dueling Dragons: This is a crap your pants pair of roller coasters at Universal, Orlando in Florida. Check out the details from the Roller Coaster Data Base: “The Fire Dragon and Ice Dragon tracks share the same lift hill, but are different layouts. Three near collision points with only one foot of clearance. The trains with riders are weighed to improve the timing of the collision points.” Enough said.
5. Sea Blaster: In South Padre Island, Texas you can enter the water realm of the Schlitterbahn. If you dare, ride one of its uphill water roller coasters like Sea Blaster or the Storm Chaser. Like I said: If you dare.

I would love to ride one of these. I love roller coasters!
They all sound awesome. I can’t imagine 0-130+ mph in 2 secs.
