The Bakersfield Blaze minor league baseball team seems to have a fiery effect even on passing birds as a great blue heron was seen electrocuted on an electrical tower at a recent game.
According to ABC23, during the Blaze game against Visalia on Monday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark, a great blue heron flew into an electrical tower behind the right field wall at the ballpark.
But did anyone cry fowl? No. If anything, the crowd seemed delighted!
The video shows the heron flying right into the tower and then tumble towards the ground. “Ooohs” can be heard from the crowd as if they’ve just witnessed fireworks. In a slow motion replay you can see sparks as the bird hits the tower and then view the heron flip-flop through the air.
We at Face News have held a moment of silence.
