There’s never enough of firefighters in uniform for the ladies. So as an added bonus on Face News, we present you with the Bakersfield Falcons, a team that just won a championship in the National Public Safety Football League.
The Bakersfield Falcons just completed their 3rd year in the National Public Safety Football League with a Division II Championship Title, defeating the Charlotte Cobras 19-13 on Saturday, June 27 at Taft High School. Both teams played a great game but the Falcons were able to hit their way to a big win for the community.
According to the Kern County Fire Department, the Bakersfield Falcons and the other 21 teams in the league consist of public safety officers from all over the U.S. Their goal of being able to play competitive football and also raising much appreciated funds for local charities and organizations.
Overall, the team is very thankful for the support of our different agencies and the community. Some of those agencies being Kern County Fire Department, Kern County Corrections and Probation, State Prisons, Bakersfield Fire Department. and California Highway Patrol. Without everyone’s support, we would not be able to play this game against our fellow brothers and would not be able to help our local organizations. Congratulations to the Bakersfield Falcons for bringing awareness to the big cities of the US, that there is a city in central California who have professional and talented public safety officers.
