Here’s raw news of a stabbing in Lamont. Another reminder that the Fourth of July isn’t a bed of roses for everyone:
On 7-4-09 at 2006 hours, Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies from the Lamont Substation were contacted by a citizen who told them of a stabbing that had just occurred in the 8200 block of Wharton Avenue in Lamont. The deputies received a description of the suspect involved in the stabbing. Deputies saw a person matching the suspect’s description exiting the Chevron Mini Mart at 11209 Main Street. The person was detained by deputies who then saw blood on the subject’s clothing. Deputies located a victim of a stabbing in the 8200 block of Wharton Avenue. The victim identified the subject detained as the person who stabbed him. The suspect was identified as Arnulfo Senovio, H, M, 4-23-83 with an address of 10920 Santa Paula Avenue in Lamont. Senovio was arrested for PC 245(a) (1) Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Senovio was booked into the Kern County Jail for that charge. The victim was identified as Ilario Miranda Moralez, H, M, 4-28-80. Moralez had a stab wound to his right inner forearm. He was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical Center. His injuries were not life threatening.
